Does anyone has experience with Shack15, Groundfloor, Commons, or any other similar coworking space? Looking forward for feedback before I join any.

I’m also interested in Shack15. But there are others. Like that one place that Sam Altman apparently did. (I can’t remember the name.)

I am a member at Shack, what would you like to know?
k
I'm also a Shack15 member- feel free to reach out with any questions.

I have basic questions like “Is it worth it?” “Does it have space or is it often full?” “How does it compare to the other spaces mentioned?”
a
+1 these questions
m
• It’s worth it to me (what are you looking for?) • there is always space although sometimes it’s quite busy • I have not been to other spaces mentioned

Thanks folks, msgng.
@Milo Poplar, Is is good for focussed work with some networking or is it more focussed on community and less on focussed work?
Most importantly is it worth the ROI?
m
They have a “quiet zone” for working if that’s what you prefer but also the general member area where people talk and network. You can also bring up to 3 people at once as guests for free. I generally come to Shack when I need to work but have capacity to network, too. If I need to do only work, I can do so from home. ROI will depend on what you expect from it. Network? Definitely.

I’ve been lurking in this thread because I decided to purchase the summer pass for Shack15. This is about what I expected to hear, so I’m excited to check out the space again soon. I’ve been for events, and the summer pass gives you access from 4 pm to closing.

@Regina i hope they continue the summer pass, it's a nice complement. the quiet coworking space is also quite nice especially for programmers or people who want to do. more deep focus on a topic. I found they were receptive to suggestions, it'd be nice if the social networking portion had a book or paper reading club like ai meetups have, but it's usually up to members to self-organize.
