I took the cerebral valley event data to see growth of events. 75% of events are in SF proper, the second location is in Palo Alto (4%). This was plotted on Aug 22 which includes future Aug events. I predict the amount of events will decline in H1 2024, as market starts to consolidate and shift form "formation phase" to "acceleration" phase. However a few mega-events will emerge, and hosted at Moscone center for 20,000 attendees. On average, I attend three AI events per week.

Hi Jeremiah, thanks for the analysis. I'm curious: what is your takeaway from attending so many AI events per week? What is your strategy to attend or not attend any event? I felt burned out from networking and found little out of the event. (Maybe because I'm not a technical.)

Just saw this. Sometimes I feel burned and take a break. Sometimes I stay a networking event just for an hour. Sometimes I stand on sidewalk where it’s less noisy and talk with fewer people. Do what feeela good. I saw people leave my own event, as it was too crowded, I felt bad, they didn’t like it. But it is what it is and they were doing what’s right for them. I have specific goals, hence why I’m attending so many events.
