Hi Cerebral Valley - I could use your help!
We launched Hydra 1.0 beta:
open source column-oriented Postgres today 🚀 the Tl;dr is: you can set up remarkably fast aggregates on your project in minutes to query billions of rows instantly.
In our 1.0 release we added support for
pgvector. It’s a Postgres extension (ie plugin) that enables similarity search in Postgres.
• has anyone used pgvector before? if so, what was your experience?
• what do you want (features, capabilities, etc) from a vector database?
Although we added support for pgvector, we did not list “vector store” as a Hydra use-case (on
http://hydra.so/beta) until we understand how to make something actually useful. Thanks for any help you can offer.
