The comparison of tokens is all temporary in this arms race, OpenAI could push forth with a 4.5 or 5 but is waiting to get broader global approval and adoption, they are playing their cards carefully with country leaders.

Yeah, I’m not so much talking about their corporate strength. They have a lot of capital, a strong team, and great research, etc. I’m talking purely from a product perspective. I feel like GPT-4 and ChatGPT used to be everyone’s default but there are better models and UXes depending on the situation. And if you’re right about them just slow rolling further advancements to get global buy-in that probably means they are intentionally ceding a lot of room to smaller teams
